Nov 01, 2006 /  Elegant Grid v.1.3 Released!

We are pleased to announce the release of version 1.3 of the Elegant Grid for .NET Windows Forms. The new functionality, which was mostly requested by our customers, includes exporting grid data to a file/stream in several formats, row headers, a tooltip for cells whose text does not fit inside the cell area and more. The documentation is updated to reflect the changes made to the API. Please see the Version History section for a detailed description of the new version.

Oct 20, 2006 /  Prof-UIS 2.61 Released!

We are happy to announce the release of Prof-UIS 2.61. The new version contains a silver theme similar to that introduced in Microsoft Office 2007 Beta 2, many new features and enhancements to the ribbon bar including customization and smooth scaling at different DPI screen resolutions and much more. Oct 03, 2006 /  Elegant Ribbon Alpha for .NET Developers Released!

We are proud to announce the first alpha release of the Elegant Ribbon for .NET Windows Forms developers and it is available for immediate download and testing.

The new features since the first preview include skinning support for the non-client area of a form, a pop-up window that can be the parent both for menus and regular controls, and a set of controls that can be used in the ribbon bar and in the form.

The beta is coming soon, so stay tuned!

Sep 18, 2006 /  Prof-UIS 2.60 Released!

We are pleased to announce the latest major release of Prof-UIS for Visual C++/MFC developers. Prof-UIS 2.60 is available for immediate download from our website.

The new version introduces the candidate release version of the ribbon bar control, which is similar to that of the new streamlined Microsoft Office user interface. The new 25 classes implementing the ribbon control are designed in a way to give you the maximum control and flexibility when creating your ribbon-based applications. The RibbonBar and RibbonPage samples demonstrate how to incorporate the new user interface.

The help has been updated to reflect new classes added in the previous minor releases. It comes with the library installer or can be downloaded directly from our website.

Jul 20, 2006 /  Elegant Grid v.1.2 and Early Preview of Elegant Ribbon Available for .NET Developers!

We are pleased to announce the release of Elegant Grid v.1.2, which is a set of feature-rich and extensible .NET components designed to help developers easily create the presentation layer of table and hierarchical data for professional Windows Forms applications. Elegant Grid v.1.2 is primarily a maintenance release and includes minor bug fixes and enhancements.

We would also like to introduce an early preview of another product for .NET Windows Forms developers: Elegant Ribbon. This UI component is conceived to implement the appearance and functionality of the new-generation user interface introduced in Microsoft Office 2007. To achieve this, we are using several innovative approaches including context-aware and windowless controls, command-oriented architecture, XML-based skinning, and WYSIWYG support. The first alpha is coming soon, so stay tuned!

Jun 16, 2006 /  Elegant Grid 1.1 for .NET Released!

We are proud to introduce the final release of the Elegant Grid, our new product for Windows Forms developers. Since the last beta, we have added complete documentation, Luna Blue (see screenshot) and Obsidian (see screenshot) built-in skins to produce the Microsoft Outlook 2007 styles, and other new features and bug fixes.

The API and form designer tools of the Elegant Grid are specially designed to follow the standard approaches used in Windows Forms. This allows you to easily start your development. The grid architecture is developed with specific focus on extensibility issues. We hope that along with an extensive list of features you will get a powerful and affordable set of components for creating professional .NET applications.

May 24, 2006 /  Prof-UIS 2.54 Released!

We are happy to announce the release of Prof-UIS 2.54. The new version is primarily packed with new features developed in response to requests from our customers and to new visual styles presented in the latest beta versions of next-generation Microsoft products.

Among the major new features are five new user interface themes including Luna Blue and Obsidian like those introduced in Microsoft Office 2007 betas. The new report grid control extends the line of grid controls available in Prof-UIS and provides an impressive list of features along with a consistent look and feel. And more than 30 cell types available now in Prof-UIS grids will certainly make you feel comfortable when you need to present tabular data and graphics in the most effective way.

Mar 22, 2006 /  Prof-UIS 2.53 Released!

Today we are proud to announce the release of Prof-UIS 2.53. The new version introduces greatly improved image/icon support (Vista/XP icon quality on any Windows OS starting from Windows 95/NT4 and enhanced support for hovered, pressed and disabled images), a new set of cell classes for the data and property grid controls (progress bar, slider, picture, numeric, currency, exponential, fraction, and percentage), an updated combo box with a multicolumn pop-up list box and autofilter support, and much more.

The Prof-UIS Integration Wizard is now completely renewed and based on new Prof-UIS skinning capabilities.

Prof-UIS 2.53 also introduces the first alpha version of the report grid control.

Feb 23, 2006 /  Elegant Grid Beta for .NET Released!

We are pleased to introduce the first beta release of Elegant Grid, our new product for Windows Forms developers. Its API and form designer tools are specially designed to follow the standard approaches used in Windows Forms, which allows you to easily start with the Elegant Grid. The grid architecture is also developed with specific focus on extensibility issues. We hope that along with an extensive list of features the Elegant Grid will become a powerful tool for Windows Forms .NET applications.

We invite you to become a beta tester. To become a tester, simply download and test the beta. Please report all problems you experienced with the product by e-mail, in this forum, or with our feedback form. We are also interested in any suggestions you have to improve the Elegant Grid. The most active testers will get the next major version absolutely for free!

Jan 20, 2006 /  Prof-UIS 2.52 Released!

We are happy to announce the release of Prof-UIS 2.52, which is available for immediate download. The evaluation version is available on your request.

The major new features include support for the Windows 64-bit platform, Aqua skin, and availability of all the resource-dependent features in static library builds. The latter allows you to hide Prof-UIS inside your distributable EXE and DLL files.

Following requests from our customers, we added new samples SimpleScripting and Pluggable, that demonstrate some possible ways of customizing the user interface programmatically. The updated Skinnable sample shows the new Aqua skin in addition to Black Diamond introduced in Prof-UIS 2.51.
