At design time, you can set up and configure the appearance and behavior of cells using a Cell Styles Editor dialog. You can invoke it by clicking the ellipsis button next to the CellStyles property in the Properties window of Visual Studio. This tool allows you to tweak settings of particular cell styles.

Please note that you can modify cell styles at two levels: at the entire grid level and at the column level. This is based on cell style inheritance rules, which features the Elegant Grid, when a particular style defined at the column level inherits/overrides settings from the corresponding style at the grid level. Such an approach gives you great flexibility in customizing your cells.
