You can reproduce it in the MDI_DynamicBars sample (screenshot).
Steps to reproduce it:
1) click on the right control bar to activate it
2) right click on the non-active left control bar caption in a position close to the active bar caption, so that the popup menu will partially cover the active bar caption.
