Forums » Prof-UIS General Discussion » Unable to switch floating/tabbed document state of Dynamic Control Bar with drag/drop Collapse All

Dear Support,

I have rebuilt your sample SDI_DynamicBars with Static Unicode Debug configuration and I’m unable to drag the control bars out of the tabbed document state or drop any floating bar into the tabbed document state. Changing state of bar through context menu works fine, though. If I remember right, this drag/drop option has worked before. Could you please check this issue?

I’m using Prof-UIS version 2.55 (hopefully with all bug fixes provided between 2.54 and 2.60, downloaded on 7/21/2006) with VS 7.1 on WinXP+SP2.
Right now I can’t switch to 2.60 as our other products work flowlessly with v2.55 and we just finished a testing phase with them and can’t start another one just now.

Thank you,
Chris.

There are three features related to dynamic control bars which are supported in Visual Studio 2005 and not supported in Prof-UIS:
1) you cannot drag a dynamic control bar into the tabbed document state (only via the context menu);
2) you cannot split the document container;
3) you cannot drag tabs inside the document split tab container.

Neither Prof-UIS nor Visual Studio 2005 support drag-n-dropping a tab from the document area into a control bar area.
