When you "type ahead" using keyboard shortcuts in menus, for example Alt-FC to close a file, I have noticed that the menus work sluggishly enough that the "C" doesn’t make it to the menu so that I have to press it again. Is there a workaround for this problem?

Thank you for your comment! This sluggishness is caused by the menu animation. But, in fact, no animation should be used for menus in case they are activated with the keyboard. We have fixed this already and this improvement will be available in the next release.
