Dear ProfUIS-Team,

in our multilingual application’s RibbonBar the current Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) state is automatically being serialized on exit in an archive file using CustomizeStateSerialize(ar). On next startup this state will be automatically loaded.

Now we intend to deliver an archive file that should be loaded as a default on initial installation. Due to different user’s working languages it would be necessary to have an automatic adaption, i.e. correct localization of the delivered QAT on runtime. Is there a suggested way to achieve this behaviour?

Best regards,

Martin

If the number of languages is limited in your application and not very high, then you can include several localized state files in your installation and use one of them only on each particular machine depending on Windows locale settings or some other language preferences. If the number of supported languages is close to number of translation languages in Prof-UIS (it’s 40), then it would be easier not to restore bar localized bar state at install time and simply reset it to some default initial state.
