is there a way to improve the performance of the prof-ui?

i think this is the best sollution in it’s area but the performance is too good when ou want to use it in a aplication with a lot of windows and stuff
the skinnable example is sometimes very slow even for a 2-3 ghz computer

so is there somethink that can be done to improve the performance maybe use some of the GPU power or smth?

i really hope to see big improvement here
aplications with many windows and toolbars are really slow

anyway, you’re the best, keep up the good work!!!
i have never seen such a complete solution for aplications ui

mmm so no big leap in performance and cpu utilisation for the moment ...:(

well my question was if there is any way to use the direct video card acceleration maybe like the new vista ... i guess not

We are searching for ways to improve performance of the skinning subsystem. We cannot use any video card acceleration in the application with many windows like toolbars, resizable control bars, and simple controls.

First of all, Debug builds are much slower that Release ones because we are lots of asserts. As for the skinning feature, it was introduced in the latest minor release and even not documented yet. This part is still under development. We have only two skinable sample applications now. The Skinable sample is slower than the Pluggable sample. The speed difference can be explained by the different number of controls in these applications. The Pluggable application contains much smaller number of skinned items.
