I have an override of this function in my CExtGridWnd-derived class but it is not being called. Any idea why? Thanks

If your question relates to your previous question about the DB grid with one additional row for inserting records, then you need to do more than just override one virtual function. You need to implement a data provider like in AdoRecordsetView sample application. We can help you more efficiently if you send us your project.
