Please use a panel as a navigation bar group content control with a text box and combo box inside.
It means that you need to add a new empty group (without items container) to a navigation bar (by clicking a link at the bottom of the properties pane), then on your form create a panel with text box and combo box (or whatever you want) inside, and then select the created panel as a ContentControl property value for the navigation bar group.
This is illustrated in the Navigation Bar sample on the Overview page, in the Data Input Control group.
