Hi


I want to use the prof uis and prof skin in a commercial product, i am testing the freeware to verify if it integrates well in our project. I am very interested in skinning.


I have two projects, a mfc dialog based application which compile and link with Profuis without any problem and skinning is working


The second project is a DLL (an Adobe Director Xtra) which contains CLSID declarations in a .h file and #define INITGUID in a .cpp file


When including the profuis, I get a compiling error :


Error    1          error C2065: ’CLSID_StdGlobalInterfaceTable’ : undeclared identifier     C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\atlmfc\include\atlbase.h         2775


When changing the order of some include files (including the file containing the CLSID declarations before the #define INITGUID), I get it to compile but I have Unresolved externals on all my CLSID ?

You should include only one file, which is Prof-UIS.h, in your StdAfx.h file. All the appropriate Prof-UIS libraries will be linked with your project automatically.

I get it to work, in fact I create a .h file where I INITGUID and include my .h files containing the CLSIDs and I create a .cpp where I include the .h,


it was a problem with the DEFINE_GUID which is a declaration when INITGUID is not defined and an implementation when INITGUID is defined


But I have now a little problem :


1>   Automatically linking with Prof-UIS library: ProfUIS283m.lib

1>      (Professional User Interface Suite)

1>   Automatically linking with Prof-SKIN library: ProfSkin283m.lib

1>      (Skin support module for Prof-UIS)


I get this on every file compiling and its time consuming when building?

If your DLL is an MFC extension DLL then you should use Prof-UIS in it like in an MFC/EXE project. If your DLL is an MFC regular DLL (like we guess), then you can use an RDE version of Prof-UIS (RDE - regular DLL extension). Here are the details:

We can also guess you may have corrupted the source code in your project. Something important for successful compilation of MFC and/or ATL based project was removed or commented out in the source code or project settings. You can send us your project so we will clarify what’s wrong.
