Is it possible to use prof-uis and Windows XP style (common control 6.0) together?
I attempted this, but I quickly notice that status bar looks wrong. Prof-uis appears to draw on top of the normal windows status bar.
I also sometimes get assertion error when I am dragging a toolbar around.

Alternatively, how do I get a consistent look to all my window controls? What I mean is that, for dialog that I create manually, I can override the controls to use the nice Prof-UIS buttons for example. But I can’t do the same for standard windows boxes, e.g. MessageBox, BrowseForFolder box, File Open dialog, etc.

Hi,

At present Prof-UIS does not have a paint manager component based on the Windows XP native theme API (implemented in uxtheme.dll). Nobody has requested this through our feature request page. I assume Office XP and Office 2003 styles are quite modern look-and-feel. Windows XP theme is just a new look of Windows OS. You may also note Microsoft products are based on mixed UI styles. Mr. Dmitry Yakovlev, a library user and tester, wrote several versions of common dialogs that display Prof-UIS buttons and combo boxes instead of standard Windows ones. If you wish, I can provide you with source code for these dialogs via e-mail.

Best regards, Sergiy.
