Hi,

We are currently in the process of making a switrch from MFC to C# and .NET environment. However, I do not want to lose the beauty we got from Prof-UIS. What should I be using ? Is this Frame feature ? Can you provide some guidance or point to an article how to use it in C# and .NET ?

Thanks,

Saroj

Dear Saroj,

The Frame Features control is our attempt to make Prof-UIS features available in other programming languages. It is based on OLE automation objects and can be used in VB 6.0, VJ++ 6.0, IE and in any .NET 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0 beta 1 languages. You can find sample applications written in these languages in the Frame Features package. Unfortunately it does not include all components available in Prof-UIS. But it provides you with those that are in most demand: customizable toolbars and menus, status bar, MDI tabs, all Prof-UIS themes and more. All the parts of the Frame Features controls are based on Prof-UIS components. The Frame Features just implements OLE automation wrappers around Prof-UIS C++ classes. So, you can use it with C#.
