There are many methods through which it will be handy to fix the Canon Printer Error 5700 and the following methods are given under. Method 1, you will need to eliminate the Left and Right Covers and the Main Case Unit that is the main cover. Method 2, you will need to eliminate the four mounting screws from the Chassis. In the third method, you will have to remove the Main Unit from the Bottom Case more info visit http://www.canoncustomersupport.co.uk/

Turn off the printer, and unplug the power cord of the printer from the power supply.
If you use a battery, turn off the printer, then detach the battery.
Plug the printer back in or attach the battery, then turn the printer back on.

Hope This Works,
Peter
