I’m using ProfileBarStateLoad/Save to allow the user to save custom layouts of the control bars.  The problem I’m having is that calling ProfileBarStateLoad doesn’t always give me the same layout that had previously been before.  It seems to be affected by the current positioning of bars and whether or not they have been closed.

Does anyone know how to get around this?

Dear Leo,

Prof-UIS saves the current state of control bars and the frame window correctly. Please take a look at the StateInFile sample application which allows you to save the UI layout to binary data files and then restore it. Of course, you may serialize the layout to/from the several branches of the system registry.
